The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing ceramic coated iron cookware comprises steps of cutting an iron sheet into a shape desired to manufacture a cookware; shaping the cut sheet into the cookware; degreasing fat present on the cookware using one or more chemicals; preparing the surface of the cookware using a sandblasting technique; pickling the cookware via acidic dip, whether prepared using the sandblasting technique or not; treating surface of the cookware with one or more chemicals meant for the purpose of phosphating and derusting; dipping the cookware into a chromate solution to neutralize the one or more chemicals; applying thoroughly mixed ceramic primer on atleast food contact zone of the cookware when maintained at 30°C to 50°C; applying ceramic top coat on atleast the food contact zone of the cookware; and baking the cookware.
